I stumbled upon a really cute new cupcake place in the East Village called Butter Lane. BL lets the cupcake-goer try a series of seasonal icings via a wooden stick, and then make a decision on chocolate or vanilla cake. BL touts seasonal ingredients sourced from a farm in upstate NY, from the blueberry frosting to butter in the icings and cakes.
